Bridesmaids' Luncheon

Still catching up on posts...

My bridesmaids' luncheon was hosted by a few of my friends' moms at the Poleys' lovely home! The luncheon was perfect... and so delicious with shrimp and grits and Bloody Marys.

Every bride gives each of her bridesmaids a gift before the wedding, and to thank my wonderful seven bridesmaids, I gave them each a bracelet.

My mom and I thought they were perfect because of the knots, so I included this note in each box.

Bachelorette Party

Rewinding back a bit to May 17 -- the night of my bachelorette party. I wanted to share a few photos. My sister planned a night of fun in Oxford, Miss., and our wonderful friends, the Ruffs, let us stay in their condo!

We at dinner at McEwen's on the Oxford Square and went to a couple bars. With school out for the summer, it was easy and not crowded. We spent the night at the Ruffs' condo and left the next morning to head back to Memphis.

A Busy Few Weeks

Where do I begin? It's been a few weeks since my last post and already so much has happened.

First thing: I'm thinking a new blog name is in order, as I no longer live with my parents. I've officially moved out. Brian and I are slowly organizing our new apartment, and right now, our lives look like this...

With everything from his Birmingham apartment plus everything I've accumlated over the years, we have SO many boxes of stuff. Maybe one day everything will be unpacked and organized.

We're enjoying married life so far and cooked our first meal together as Mr. and Mrs. Welton last night -- a chicken stir fry made with our new pots and pans!

I plan to blog in detail about the wedding festivities and honeymoon -- but not yet! Stay tuned...
